I inherited a Trex 930 and need help.

The tire stems are the small type that a regular air hose will not work. I have the hand pump but it will not pomp up the tires hard enough. What are my options to get this changed to a regular stem? Can i buy new tubes or is there an adapter for the small stems to allow me to use a regular air hose fitting?

Yes, there are adapters. Head into your local bike shop and ask for presta/schraeder adapters. They should run around $1 a piece.

You can also get tubes with schraeder valve stems if you like.

I think the rims are drilled for presta tubes. If he wants to change to schraeder, he will have to get the rims drilled out.
