Hey everyone,
I just took my XTR brakes off of my trials bike to put on my race bike, but i need something that will work as good, but am on a decently tight budget. I dont like the maggies, they dont lock up the way i would like them to, so if anyone could help me out with a discision of v-brakes it would be best. I had the XT stuff, and avid stuff in mind...i kinda like the XT brakes the most, and the Avid levers the most, but i dont know what to do.

try maggies w/ plazmatic pads. you will no longer complain about lockup power.

they are better than my hayes w/ 8" rotors.

i run maguras, and they came stock with sticky trials pads
so no matter which brake (mag or v) make sure you get some!
squeal like nothing else, but you've got so much power on tap that you have to be wary if you're just riding down the street!
and the whole suburb will hear that you're doin trials!

if you still want ot run vee's on there try a pair of shimano dx's there are better than xt or xtr, i am not a big fan or the magura hs33
