I've noticed that after a day of freeriding/DH riding I have trouble falling asleep when night rolls around. This usually only happens with longer rides. I especially noticed this last weekend (rode Whistler on saturday and Vedder on sunday :D ). I feel tired and beat, but I can't fall asleep at night! I guess I must be a little bit jacked up on adrenaline when I try to fall asleep. Anyone else have this problem?

I occasionally have trouble sleeping after a good ride - too hyped up, I guess.

mtnbrider, alcohol causes insomnia, doesn't cure it - it might knock you out, but you wake early and in poor shape.

bingo !!!

it seems to me like that's about the time i really begin to think about and dissect all the runs i made that day.
and that just naturally gets you fired up all over again.

Are you getting regular exercise outside of some sporadic days of freeriding?

I notice that I don't sleep very well the first couple nights after starting an exercise regimen. However, as soon as I have established a pattern of exercise, I start sleeping much better. Just a thought...
