The third and final round of the Australian National Series was held at Bright in the Victorian high country, for arguably one of the best downhill tracks in the country.

Troy looked instantly comfortable on a track that was much like a World Cup style track than what Australia usually has to offer. By the time Saturday qualifying came around the track had developed significant ruts and Troy managed to qualify a solid third.

Race day rolled around and as open practice started, it was clear that the track was still very dry even though it had been a damp night and when racing began it was clear that the track had become much rougher. In his final run, Troy crossed the line for a provisional first place until his old teammate Sam Hill crossed the line with a time that put him 1.1 seconds ahead of Troy.

Troy finished second on the day and says it felt great to be back up to pace and will continue working on more speed and fitness as the World Cup season gets closer.

Next up for Troy is a Victorian State round before heading to Tasmania for the Oceania Championships.
