Jeebus!

I think the only person probably more shocked than Hillary that Trump defeated her this election is Trump himself. Reading his agenda I don't think he really thought he would win this thing and actually have to govern.

So, Trump met with Obama and turned a planned ten minute meeting into an hour and a half. He and left singing Obama's praises and saying he would be calling him for advice... WTF?

Does Trump have a personality disorder or has he taken a page from Hillary's "have both a public and a private position" playbook?

I still think nobody is more surprised by his victory than he is. He's a total outsider and he's going to have to surround himself with as many insiders (and some real nutters) as he can to stay afloat for the next 4 years.

Trump announced today that he will be going forward with mass deportation. This is some seriously scary shit. Not to disregard the lives impacted by this, but this will help crash the economy.

The food industry is staffed by undocumented workers from the fields to the kitchen. They are literally the industry's backbone. Without them there will be no one to pick fruits and vegetables, slaughter meat, staff warehouses, work in kitchens, etc. Food cost will increase as much of it will be left to rot on the vines. Prices at grocery stores will become absurdly high and many restaurants will close. So there will most likely be a food shortage and what is available will be affordable to few.

But not to fear for Der Führer, he will have plenty of cash with the new tax breaks. No problem for him to maintain his bloated physique, but the rest of us, not so much.

Also Trump is going to need a yuuuuge law enforcement agency to accomplish this task. Not only will this project destroy the food industry, cost hundreds of million dollars, but it will give Trump his own fucking army.

When ever you say something that draws a correlation to Hitler to a Republican/Trump supporter, they usually reply with, "that can't happen here, we have too many protections in place". This is how dictators rise to power and stay there. I fear that it is already happening here, in a country that fought and died to defeat the very thing we may become.

But you'll save some money on health insurance. Can't make an omelet without breaking a couple eggs.

I heard Trump say he was going to hire a lot of experts, the best people, etc. I think an article posted somewhere on here nailed it about how his ego would never allow him to hire those who are smarter or saner than himself.

I bet Manimal had to call his doctor because he had an erection that lasted more than 4 hours.

This could get interesting. I firmly believe that the vast majority of conservatives talk about immigration as yet another emotional topic to excite their base but they want nothing more than a status quo. They want illegals to exist as a sub-class that can be exploited. Not only does it provide low cost labor but it also undermines the earning potential for the lowest of working citizens. They pound their podiums saying they want to fix the problem but want nothing more than Democrats to block any of their changes. Not the gates are open they have nothing to stop them, except their true motives. Hopefully before this gets scary their true colors will show.

Yeah, I dunno. A lot of influential conservatives spent a millions of dollars to block gay marriage in CA a few years ago. The wedding industry is a multi-billion dollar behemoth. The more of those couple who can get legally married only add to the economy. Seems to me that some people are just determined to shoot themselves in the foot financially. Actually spending money to prevent revenue, unintentionally of course, but the out come would still be the same.

Some conservatives do put their principles before money. And often at a great loss to those they represent. Talking to you Gov. Mccrory.

Bring the picking fruit jobs back to America.

Lets not forget the poor kid who dreamed his whole life to have a career in dishwashing only to have it stolen by some illegal who dreamed his whole life not to die of a waterborne parasite.

Turns out, all you need is a ladder that is the same height as this proposed wall-now fence. Damn those Mexicans are so much smarter than us!
