from reagan to bushes to this monstrosity....

that template of outward, racist, white populism distracting from the corporate fellating going on less overtly just keeps getting worse

I look forward to president musk

his xits on xitter will be so sassy!
you forgot Nixon. He seems to have provided the model, and laid the groundwork for what we see now... plus he was a closeted (repressed) Christian male...

you mean the guy who started the EPA, OSHA and affirmative action?

this fuckin guy?

Nixon’s proposed Family Assistance Program (FAP), intended to replace the service-oriented Aid to Families with Dependent Children (AFDC), would have provided working and nonworking poor families with a guaranteed annual income

Our entire history is weird christians. I picked reagan for a reason. Nixon still had an interest in americans, not JUST corporations. Probably because he thought jesus (and his mother) would smite him but whatever...

classic misdirection?

Nixon's comments don't come as a surprise to me [emphasis mine]. Reagan's comment did. Nixon's comments are worth learning about today as a reminder that when people with power express bigoted ideas, not only are those words bad, but they have a meaning and a significance that is much bigger than one would assume.

Its not misdirection at all. Nixon was a damn socialist compared to reagan

The current modern corporatocracy that is amerca absolutely took its foundational turn with reagan. The christian racism is just a tool. Pretty much every rich white guy in power had that going on. Nixon's wasnt unique.

Do your homework and look what happened to unions, upper end tax rates and corporate profits before and after reagan. The racism is common. Where it mattered most is how reagan used the mOrAl mAjOrItY idiots like jerry falwell to convince people to vote away their populist power to serve shareholders they have no relation to.

It's the economic structure that reagan put in place that's been far more damaging than a bunch of dumb racist shit talking between two rich white assholes. Like I said, that part is common. Reagan more effectively used it to an end.

So did trump. But the fools in the nyt and washpo want to talk about the fact that he said grab 'em in the pussy rather than the fact that he gave all our money to airlines that pissed it away on stock buy backs and bonuses.

Reagan was a piece of shit, and like a typical piece of shit, loat his mind at the end and died happy thinking he was good. Glad Nancy got to watch his health fail with Alzheimer's.

Glad he is dead.

@realDonaldTrump

A Large, Complex, Detailed but Irrefutable REPORT on the Presidential Election Fraud which took place in Georgia is almost complete & will be presented by me at a major News Conference at 11:00 A.M. on Monday of next week in Bedminster, New Jersey. Based on the results of this CONCLUSIVE Report, all charges should be dropped against me & others - There will be a complete EXONERATION! They never went after those that Rigged the Election. They only went after those that fought to find the RIGGERS!

Extra points if he gets the My Pillow guy to present this...

I'll bet you a sixer this "news conference" doesn't even happen. Four Seasons Land Scaping is all booked up.

OMFG, If he does that, I can't fathom how many of his lawyers would jump off the rat infested ship.
the only thing worse than an asshole like trump is the parasites who look at that jabba and go "yep, that's my opportunity"

You'd think that indictment list would have an effect.

then again these talking slime mold varieties just passed the bar, not exactly anything relevant

You have to appreciate the RANDOM capitalization in that statement. He loves to emphasize.

I've noticed that morans *everywhere* are doing this. It's almost such that you can pretty much be *guaranteed* when you see it the poster is a complete ass-goblin. :D
I just love how REPORT and Report are both used and totally unnecessary. Sometimes he's REALLY serious, and other times he's on Really serious.

And I too want My Pillow as the presenter of said Report. Or is that REPORT?

I know I'm stupidly hopeful, but if just one of the 18 turn on him, he could actually get in trouble.

given that it includes some state level people who aren't rich i'd say there's a higher likelihood than previously. not that i'm holding my breath or anything.

Don't forget the 30(!) unindicted co conspirators. Some of those may still have charges pending but I'd wager a small sum that out of 30 at least a couple of them have been singing like canaries.
