while i'm here, can you assimilate all your knowledge here? i'm too lazy to gain my own....
i'm not a fan. i have seen to many tweaked and treads striped
Definitely best bang for the buck (looks good too). Search for a pair on ebay; I've seen a brand new set go for $100 and even lower.
i picked up a brand new set on ebay for 65 bucks (no chainring)...i think they must have fallen off the back of a truck or something... they work great but the paint has rubbed off after only 1 ride... cosmetic, so i don t really care... i just hope they last
There are painted cranks that the paint doesn't wear off of?

I'm just sayin' that judging crankarms by how long the paint lasts seems like judging suspension performance by what color the numbers are on the spring. 
And if you are thinking of Holzfellers, it's probably because they didn't use the pedal washers that come with the cranks.Sir_Crackien said:

You're right, they're either polished or anodized black, not painted. The black ano finish wears off for some strange reason. I bought a pair of black Holzfellers for my hardtail, and after seeing the black finish start to disappear, I bought a pair of polished Holzfellers for my DH bike.TWISTED said:
