If I'm running a 26 x 2.6 tire, can I use a 1.75-2.5 tube or do I need to go to 2.6?

Thanx!

You will be fine....I am a big guy and wouldn't have a problem with it. If it was something like 1.5-2.1 then my fat arse might get nervous. :)

The bigger it gets the thinner the tube will be as it expands....I want as little stretch as possible for me. I don't see a problem with your tube at all.

That is how you run lightweight tubes in our larger tires. I ran a 1.95-2.35 in a Gazzalodi 3.0 with no problems.

To jump up to 2.6 tubes, they are DH specific and weigh about 1 lb each.

Supergo or Giant tubes (saw them at the Supergo shop in Seattle) had some 2.5ish tubes that were not DH specific but just a little thicker than a XC tube. They would be a good comprimise....if someone was looking for something like that.

I guess it depends on your tires too. Some are more prone to pinching than others.
