Alright, I sucessfully wore my 2.35 folding bead high rollers (not ust) down to nothing and had to swap tires for a trip down south this weekend.

The only spare tires I have lying around are specialized folding bead 2.10 and 2.20 resolutions, not ust.

I have mavic 819 wheels that I was previously running the maxxis tubeless with stans on.

I have lots more stans, but no air compressor that fits the presta valve on my rims.

I have a floor pump.

Previously I used the floor pump and some stans to mount the non ust highrollers, it was a little bit of work but I finally got the bead to seat. These specialized tires won't even hold air pressure after a few pumps.

What are some tricks you guys have used to mount a non ust tire up tubless? I'm about ready to bust the ether and a lighter trick that I learned from mounting jeep tires, but I have a feeling that will end badly. :lighten:

I thought since he was tubless, I would just suggest sponge bathing but yep, I have one of the adapters from presta to schrader and it works great. only buying shrader from now own, I have a tendacy to snap prestas off.

that $1 will save you a lot of grief. IME the more tape you use, the harder it is to get the tire on, but the easier it is to pump up with a floor pump. Not all tires have the same diameter at the beed.

Not a $1 fix but I've used CO2 cartridges before. Try that. Works on Presta valves.

I run UST rim/tire interface these days (thank you Mavic for once) and floor pump is more than adequate. I don't miss ghetto non-ust setup at all.

Yeah, I normally run ust tires as well, unfortunately the new ones I ordered aren't going to get here in time before I head down south tonight.

Got the adaptor... I'm guessing my local shops around here are over priced sine they charged me $2.... freaking %100 price increase :D

What's everyone's favorite tubeless all mtn tire? I'm a big fan of the Highroller 2.35 super tacky, but lately they've been hard to find.
