My recovery kind of took a step back and I have pain and discomfort and problems sleeping. Driving me nuts.

Going to Sofia on Friday with old high school friends and I hope it will be a good way to do something fun if nothing else get some drinks to relax :-) Anybody know anything about Sofia and some cool things to do?

Slept great. I too wouldn't complain if I had a couple more days in Crested Butte as there was a couple of planned rides for this last weekend we didn't get to, nor did we get time to fly fish in the Taylor River.

Hi folks
might actually do some work today at work, so I'm kind of stoked. Unfortunately it's a long process so I need to choose my start date carefully.

slept poorly and couldn't get up to workout. Feeling grumbly, but maybe I'll go buy n+1 to stick on the trainer this afternoon.

Yesterday it was 100F going to be the same through Friday. Too effing hot to ride after work which sucks and getting up and riding at 0130 in the morning before work ain't happening.

Easy day with only 5 scheduled trips on my route

What it are, brosephs! ROFLCAT! Back to work after a four day weekend, but only a two day work week before another four day weekend.

I ran 10 miles before work...55 degrees with low humidity, which was awesome.

Remind me again why we go to work?

Told MIL that I am trying to get contractor meetings for the CA condo again and she panicked saying that it just wasn't ready to be done - too much stuff there still. Told her that there is a hard date attached to having a contractor start, so we can work around that. She's still panicked. It's pretty clear that she just doesn't want to renovate or sell. I think we're just going to have to force her hand at this point.

Holy shit, best night of sleep last night in weeks. Both me and Teh Spousal Unit were comatose for 11 hours. Hot damn! And while we’re gonna really miss being in Crested Butte (like ya do) we’re gonna ease back into it all by spending ten days in Tuluum before our return to “real life”…

I think @6thElement and @Nick can vouch that the missus and I throw a pretty good shindig. And here’s a little video proof for @TreeSaw so she knows it happened…

Day off work. Gonna go get some coffee. Gonna get my back cracked at the chiropractor. Gonna play with all the new synth toys I bought this weekend as I tried to retail therapy my way out of the isolation blues.

everyone re-integrated their own beds last night. I had been in my youngest boy's bed so I could sleep undisturbed. my wife and I have just swapped sides in our bed (I can't get out of bed on my own side - it's the side with the broken ribs and shoulder blade).

no one slept well. we woke up at 2 am and all had a hard time going back to sleep. I even took a morphine which didn't seem to help much. lucky for me I don't have to work and I can nap whenever I want. Though I'm in paperwork hell trying to get the intake people in Ontario to recognize the referral to spinal specialists written out by a Quebec surgeon. Now I have to request my files from the hospital archives, and have them sent to my family Dr. who will then submit a referral to the spine unit here... seems ridiculously byzantine.

Chin up my Canadian friend. Here in Freedumb land, you'd possibly also be facing a lifetime of insurmountable medical debt!

I'm alive and the house is still standing, so that's cool.

Now I gotta get the place liveable again. See you in a few days......
How bad was surrounding area? We're you an outlier house? Or whole neighborhood saved?

And glad to hear you're back and the house is there!

I'm in a different part of the lake than where the fire is. They're claiming all structures saved but having been in a few burn scars that can mean a lot of things.

I just didn't want to be here while it was going on because of obvious evacuation problems that look like they made national news.
