Gotta power through my friday. I'm done with this week. Tripped over both dogs when I went to pee in the middle of the night last night. Sounded like the battle of Seelow Heights here, guess the dogs could only handle so much as they are never in our room.

Now I work today, have the next 2 days off to go to a Phish show and back to work on Friday.

Eventful weekend! Was on the news Friday night with a story about my stolen bike (no they wouldn't film a segment of me throwing up a middle finger for the thief), then spent the rest of the weekend doing this

and flogging the demo Yeti.

Now off to the police station at lunch to give them video footage of the theft and waiting on the insurance company to cut me a check.

Friday night: 4000 yard pool swim
Saturday: 100 mile solo road ride
Sunday: 12 mile hard effort run, 2000 yard lake swim
Monday: 3000 yard lake swim, 35 mile road ride

And I was back in the pool this morning for a masters workout. I loved all of it, but I'm frikkin tired now.

Correct. If they play in Maine and it is not a festival, my wife and I always try to get tix. The lottery came thru for us this time. Never had a bad time at a Phish show.

yea i struck out with the lottery and ticketshamster this year. did still manage to score tickets last minute to both shows at the Mann. they are playing really well this year.

Roof estimate done. Substantially less than expected, so I need to hand it off to the contractor to start the fight to increase it. Shitty spot, as I need it replaced, but don't really feel like paying an additional $6000.

Almost impusle bought Wifey her Infiniti on Saturday. The one we found was perfect with one exception - smoke smell.

Rode a new trail (Little Scraggy loop) on Saturday. Stupid fun. Just 5 miles of fast pump and flow. If you were to learn that trail, you could go dangerously fast. Guys I rode with are determined to keep me within view next time, so we're doing a 'training day' at Valmont (Boulder terrain park) this weekend. Working on jumping and pumping. I figure coming out of a corner fast when you don't know how to handle the exit roller isn't the best idea.

Otherwise, work.

Flying to BC for a ten days. Forecast looks poopy though, not great when you're in a tent for a week. Riding should be epic, but without rain would be better.

Finish off in Whistler for a few days, but won't have my DH bike or gear with me, but do have a free lift ticket from my mtbparks pass...

it's less me wanting to spend that much, more just trying to explain it to the wife. i'd be looking at a 10gal setup to do full boils, and the valves/fittings to run it through a chiller into fermentation. help make the overall process go faster / easier. something i'll have for a long time, so i can see the value in it.

I love, love, love dealing with crazy people. I just wish it weren't so expensive to prove someone wrong. Yay for not being Monday.

On a lighter note, the town decided to move the fireworks launch location from Sand Island to the parking lot across the street. Issue being our favorite bluff has a perfect view of the river and several fireworks shows going on, ours was blocked by a grove of trees. We stayed for the whole show even though you could barely see a damn thing.

I just rolled into my motel here in Saint-Raymond, in Quebec.

First thing on the agenda is a poop. I've now pooped in 5 provinces over the last 5 days.

This place seems awesome so far. Microbrewery and restaurant attached the the motel, bike trails literally outside my room and the hills are huge here.

Should be a good 3 days.

2300 miles and 7 days later my Mountain West tour is over. Driving north on i25 through Wyoming was the best stretch.

Today dog is under the knife to repair his torn ligaments. He will be happier in a few weeks when he can walk again.
