Jesus do I need a cup of coffee
It so happens I'm sipping a cup of coffee on my couch as I read this. I'd be happy to make you one if you were here.

The kids sleep was all fucked up again last night, ergo my sleep was all fucked up last night.

Am I ready for my 1.5 day staff retreat. Nope. :dead:

In hell. Welcome!
This week is a major suckerage. Not only work sucks because I now have to collaborate with psychopaths, the psychos are coming to town and will make it difficult for us to finish work that they want to "lead" but not actually be responsible for.
Snow & mess sucks in the streets of Boston, too.:disgust:

Mornin!

Hung out last night, ate pizza and watched Stranger Things. Not a bad way to spend the evening.

Friend's dog ended up passing away. I guess it was a good thing we got out to visit this weekend.

Good Morning!!

It's a beautiful day out there...our temps are warming up, and we may hit nearly 70 by Friday. Then, snow next week....

It's Tuesday, and work is already enough cray....

Coffee is good, though.

So much for being productive. Decided I would finish the overhead storage project in the garage an d while cutting the support angle iron, I managed to get a sliver of metal in my eye WHILE WEARING GLASSES. Since we had switched to Kaiser on the first, I have a $1700 deductible. Made the call to go to Zoom care and just pay cash. $145 later I need to go downtown to a "specialist". $500 for the Zoom care specialist who "has speciality tools for this sort of thing" used a Q-tip to gt it out. So $665 out to door with ointment for what didn't seem so special.

As the wife said "This is why your employer put $1700 into the HSA account."

So then when I started restacking the tubs in the overhead, the new angle iron buckled under all the crap. FML, back to Home Depot.

No project can be completed with only one trip to HD. If you can do it, you are a fucking jedi.

No project can be completed with only one trip to Ace. If you can do it, you are a fucking jedi.
FTFY. Home Depot is a trek while Ace is a mile and a half. But Ace doesn't have quite all the building materials like steel and lumber unless you want to donate a kidney. I average 2 trips per project. Making 2 trips to Home Depot is $50 in gas alone, so I REALLY don't like making more than one trip.

On a lighter note, it was the pooch's first trip there and she enjoyed it (also was amazing the whole time). I might wait until the weather is a bit dryer and make a trip to the woods with a stop by HD on the way home as a bonus.

Happened to me before as well - with glasses. Got a sliver of steel that lodged itself in my eye....you could see the rust ring around it in no time. Went to specialist, and he took - and I'm not kidding here - a Dremel tool with a very small, round deburring bit on it, and went "Hold still..." Bzzzzt! two seconds later, the sliver was out, and I had a small scoop out of my eyeball. Weird. Healed up in no time, though.

Here.

Should have the deal closed on the new house today! Inspection was mediocre, but to be expected in a 18 year old house. Nothing major enough to tube the deal.

On to packing....
lol my wife and i started packing as soon as we were under contract. we were inside the new house prepping to paint the day we closed.
