COVID is doing its thing. I took work sick time yesterday and today. I'm actually feeling a little better today... Just feeling totally wiped out. No headache, fever, or sore body, so i'll take it!

I watched four movies yesterday. I'll do that again today. Yesterday's selection:

Hit Man (Netflix)
Mad Max (first one. Never saw it)
The Green Knight (weird as fuck)
Tropic Thunder (lolol)

Work. Going to book some vacation time in a few minutes.

Went through an annoying thing yesterday, working with Power Bi. I have a huge list of things that I need to put on a report. Spreading it across multiple pages is an ordeal, so I researched some crap on the newold paginated reports, which you can embed into the original report. I did all the work, learned about them etc etc and then at the very end discover embedded reports can't be exported to PDF. Fuck off, why was this not mentioned anywhere :dead:

Anyways, coffee time.

Here. Having to get the dietician that I work with at UCHealth to help with my diet for weight loss. The workouts and having somebody to keep you moving forward is really helping, but he's missing the mark on diet because it's so specific.

Starting the process of finding Haley a new, full-sized kart. The shop has their new brand, but it's having some reliability issues. They might have some of the old brand used, but I need to find out whose kart they were. There are some people whose karts you just don't want to buy. We already have a buyer for her chassis, so the sooner the better after Sept 15.

Otherwise, work.

I really want one of these.

It's just an OTK painted a different color with a different sticker kit.

Locally most of the people who have run OTK karts have switched over to CompKart or Birel, which the CompKart uses for their parts. Most consistently prefer the flex and feel of the kart over the OTK and Kart Republic. Both of which are really popular on the national circuit, but both also do a lot of sponsorships of teams and drivers, so... grain of salt.

Top of the morning to ya! Work, then doing some trim. Gonna be a blast.

Supposed to receive two toilets today, one of which I'll have to return. Here's to hoping they don't show up broken.

I just thought it was cool because supposedly Lando had input into them and he can still kart. But maybe it's just his name and an income stream.

Nice beaver, thx, I just had it stuffed

the solar components did not arrive yesterday as promised, after a few calls into the bowels of FedEx phone hell it seems my 3 pallets of 5k lbs are on a train between here and Texas being held up by wildfires. They have 3 days before i leave for yellowstone

In other news,

Finally got an address issued for the lots in town, still waiting on the excavation permit

@gonefirefightin you taking your annual YNP fence building trip?

My in-laws are backpacking in the Wind Rivers at this moment. It's a good time of the year to be in Wyoming LOL.

Not much to report. Currently in Laramie. I know I talk up Boise as the best city ever. Laramie, on the other hand, is a terrible place. No one should ever move here.

It's not Pelican or Lamar cabins is it? Those are the only two I've slept in.

Damn it man you'll have to stuff me in one of your coolers and drag me along. I can hold a fan on you while you work.
if you were a vet you would already have a ticket since @MikeD bailed 4 years in a row now,

Doing a new roof and major upgrade to the Union Falls patrol cabin in Bechler, we ran out of front country work

Dancin' over rocks n' roots!
Morning. Busy weekend for us. Officially moved Syd into college for her freshman year (she's an athlete so a week earlier than everyone else made for a quite and easy move in) and then camping. It's my last week of summer break as pre-season starts next week for us and I will be in and out of school for department meetings and setting everything up. I feel like I blinked and the summer is over. Chilly and wet outside this morning...up to 54 now.
