Took the day off work to ride roller coasters with the kids. Nice and cool around 70. Apparently a lot of other people had the same idea.

Corrective action meetings went well, Information was received and understood. Folks will keep their jobs if they follow through on the instructions. Best of all I'm done for the day and it's only 10:30 
Going to get some yard work done, pack up the med gear into the camper, NA beer for the weekend is already chilling in the camper fridge, then hit the gym and chill.

Often see convoys going to/from Lewis Mcchord, with a string of broken down vehicles on the side of the highway. Must be confidence inspiring.
That is a clear indicator of the particular unit maintenance section's abilities, it usually transfers to the readiness and skill of the line units and command staff as well
This is why I'm so busy tailed this glorious day.
Bikes ridden. Surprisingly ended up with a bit over 1K vert in 8-ish miles. Trails were pretty damned fun.

The city engineer actually took me up on my offer to come look at the property so he could see what I was trying to relay in the drawings.
Keep in mind I am doing things prescriptively as opposed to engineered so it kind of rubs the engineer types the wrong way since they think a homeowner/builder doesn't know what they are doing.
After walking every square inch of the lots and chatting about the outcome he has came to the realization (As I was trying to explain) that we wont have an actual slope condition or pad dimension without moving dirt first to determine the next steps. So now he will issue a conditional permit as long as I adhere to the erosion mitigation guidelines and such.
At this point I will tackle the project when I get back from yellowstone since it will still take him a week to draw up the permit.

I just found out that somewhere in CO or NM there's a trail named Jesus Christ Super Gnar and now I want to ride it.
