Good session at the gym last night. Trying to shake off the worst weak old man. More training tonight. Hoping to get out of winter a with just a little bit of muscle mass :homer:

Dealing with real estate agents is the worst.

Followup appointment at hand clinic at the hospital this morning. I probably won't tell them that I have misplaced my splint.

And then work, joy.

 Cold has its grip on me, I considered getting a flu or Covid test but F it, won’t change anything at this point.
I have a few days in Scottsdale next month, trying to wrangle half a day and a loner bike to ride South Mtn In Phoenix.

For the first time in a week my Garmin "sleep score" was over 80. I got outside before sunrise for a 5 mile jog. My left IT band is sore and it's making my entire damn leg ache...not enough to affect my running, but enough to be a nagging pain. I'll keep hitting it with a healthy dose of the foam roller and massage gun.

I'm in the office today but will be home in time for that Nottingham Forest/Liverpool game.

Yo
slept okay, but woke up early. Now I feel like shit.

my tinnitus has gone from annoying to severe, keeping my up at night and when I wake up to pee. It’s probably a brain tumor. Have an ENT and tinnitus appointment scheduled, but they are months out

I concur. Lots of money in commission for what nowadays just equates to putting an advert online that all the other online websites pickup. It amazes me in the US that the selling realtor then has FA to do with showing the property to prospective buyers.

Several showings this week after we dropped a chunk off the asking price to get ours sold :/

/me will be down in Stoney’s hood today. But I’ll roll down there later to avoid the worst traffic, although it’s not showing as too bad now

I am feeling last night work out. the muscles on the back of my thigh are definitely worked and are saying fuck you this morning. Everything else is jut a little tight. 30 minutes of intervals on the lateral trainer and 40 minutes of weight lifting will do that I guess.

Got my eye exam and ordered new glasses last night. New doc and he was awesome. He explained a lot about the correction and how the new prescription will address my astigmatism. new glasses will show up in one to two weeks

Thankfully we only have 6 gurney transports today to Dialysis and back and none of the clients weigh over 150 pounds

Espresso be good

In the process of buying a place I have had several agents not giving a fuck about me. One I talked to before Christmas and then never got back to me.

Morning Monkeys.

So my buy nothing January has been an epic fail, but at least I got MOSTLY useful shit. I might try again in February, see when it gets here.

I'm 6 days into my new workout and I've gained 6 pounds. Not ideal, but I am upping my step count and will be spending time on the elliptical on my off days to try and increase my activity level. It's a 12 week program, so I have time. It's just 36 pounds to lose vs 30.

Most likely just water weight from inflammation.

Unless you have eaten a few additional pounds of Little Debbies every day for the past week.

My Little Debbie consumption has been drastically reduced, but girl scout cookie season is quickly approaching. My wife was actually making fun of me because I stocked up on dark chocolate Rolos at the Grocery Outlet (2 for $1) and she's eaten more of them than me, but I'm the asshole who bought them and put them in the drawer.

More Siemens fun.

Controls dude here can't connect to a machine, so they spend a month+ with Siemens, figuring out what software is required.

Software is ordered and Siemens manufactures and ships a single DVD from Germany.

Had to find a computer with a dvd reader to copy the software.

Contents of the dvd are just a bunch of directories lots of different software inside. I have no damn clue what any are and most of the documentation that's in there sounds like its describing software that is already running on the machine. FFS I have no idea what I'm doing.

I am alive, just got tired of the constant nagging about politics

But yes, I picked up a CJ for the woman's daily driver.

1982 CJ7 Renegade
Fresh AMC 258 4.2 liter Inline 6
High output 4.0 Heads
Holley Sniper EFI
SM 465 4-speed manual
Twin stick Dana 20 transfer case
Spring over lift
35" tires on 15" alum wheels

Was too good of a deal to pass up, but needs some work, death wobble coming up the 101 from gold beach was sporting.

Order a new lift, YJ suspension swap and all new steering to make it modern

I already started on the bodywork, Only have a couple of spots that need a few sheet metal patches welded in, pretty good shape really.

Cut off about 600lbs worth of junk bumpers, winch, spare carrier and lame rock sliders to get back to the frame.

Going to retain the original Blue/white colors and some vintage decal graphics of the Renegade for that year but will replace all the old hardware with chrome, found an original Warn 8274 that I will rebuild for the front and probably find some super swampers to keep the retro theme going. will pull all the glass, tint everything, bed liner in the tub and polish up the original 8 hole mags. Will do a full resto when the shop is built.

I saw news saying that some wealthy Angelinos have been offering 'whatever it takes' for private fire fighters to protect their properties.
Not as lucrative as they say, Contract base rate of 24 per hour with no overtime or hazard pay and minimal support. Besides I could care less about the elite whom are losing a 2.9 million dollar 3rd home who had it built in a box canyon filled with type 4 fuels with no water and drought conditions.

You don't have one of those 'sell your own house' services in Murica?
