Took my 6yo on his first roller coaster last night.
Had to coax him every step of the way as he was freaked out.
Puked his guts out 10 steps out after exiting the ride.

Ahhh, Tuesday. Day 3 of unrequested bachelorhood. Wife and son delivered toys to St. Judes yesterday. My son said it has changed his view, he doesn't have it so bad as a healthy 17 year old. Amen. None of us do.

Ok my day started well then 5 minutes later my wife dropped the bombshell on me. Her Dermatologist found something on her eyelid and refered her to a specialist. She sees them at 8:30, it may be another melanoma.

crapola... and she has been in remission for 5 years

For the past 3 years now, Sydney (my 6 year old) goes to the toy store and gets to buy any toy she wants for a boy and any toy she wants for a girl and then we donate them to Toys for Tots. The first time we had her do it, I don't think she really got it, but after doing it this year, she came home and went through all of her toys and we donated them to some local children in need. When she's ready, we'll do something like St. Jude :thumb:

Definitely puts things into perspective.

Doesn't sound like a mistake to me...sounds like a memory and learning experience for both :)

Morning. Yesterday was going well until my new bike arrived. UPS killed the rear wheel and there are some dings in the frame. I called and filed a claim and they're going to call and send someone out to investigate it today. TOTALLY bummed but hopeful that UPS will come through and pay the claim quickly so I can get riding.

Today = packing for monkeyfest and printing the shopping list. Then, Syd & I have a "mommy & me" painting session with her Daisy scout troop at Saratoga Paint & Sip.

Cought a flat on my way to my high school friends little reunion. Now they claim they wouldn't know what to do with their times if they didn't work 12h days and it is the best way to spend their lives. All they talk is about which bank job they should get and how goldman sachs or pwc is awesome, well that and cuffs. They claim they understand I need more time because I have hobbies (like it's normal they don't) and if they want to go out they will go to the closest/easiest to get too place where they can look at girls and do nothing about it and then go to a strip club to spend 10% of their monthly salary. God it's scary how different my life could have ended if I went the way all my high school best friends did. Dodged a bullet there
