That was the temperature at the ski hill this morning, not including the windchill which made it -20° or some nonsense.
Super slow, wind affected, dust on crust snow… and super crappy visibility.

hmmm. possible too. I was going to use a piece of leftover laminated pine plank to screw the 2x3s into instead of those "runners". maybe a couple more 2x3s could be used as the frames. then I'd have to cut notches... that would look kinda dope too...
Holy shit! The wife has been freaking out because we still haven't seen a bill from my knee surgery. I reluctantly called the hospital to see what's up and it seems we won't be getting one. Insurance paid a huge chunk, they have some agreement with the insurance to write off so much and we have financial assistance, so it's all been covered, zero balance due. We were anticipating $2k at least. Merry Fucking Christmas!
No, but my wife does work for the insurer. Her salary sucks, but our coverage is good and cheap.

got through the day. surrounded by incompetent people and bad communication. but i shall press forward. dudes came and replaced ceiling drywall. listened (excitedly) to the real madrid soccer game in spanish as they did. was pleased to see water damage was not as bad as anticipated. have been slow cooking ribs since 2:00...s00n...will eat them. i hope they dissolve in my mouth.

holy shit. not gonna lie. the ribs i made were absolutely amazing. competitions would be won. slightly modified version of this, using a combo of three different bbq sauces to finish and a slightly different blend for the dry rub.

Gonna try to take that germtube ride to Kokomo tomorrow. “Get there slow and then take it fast” as I cram 4 days of work into two.

This is one of the many reasons why I refuse to have a job that requires travel. I end up in places like Kokomo in December.
