does anybody have any good advice about tunning forks, like driling the valves, glueing together shims and stuff, i got a boxxer and a 40 both 2010, and was thinking about what i could do to make them beter, dont wana pay for like avy cartridges and they are not availiable in our park of the world so i hope anybody has some garage mods for me

get rid of the 40, & then use the money for an Avy Cart.

not realy what i wanted to hear :D so does anyone know what they actualy do at avy to make it so much better? :D

You basically take the whole dampener unit out & replace it with the avy one. It screws right in like an oem one. It's openable so you can tune it too, unlike the stock ones. He sells shim kits that come with a chart if you want to go that route too. It took me about :20 mins to install. It totally transformed my fork.

i was more interested in the techy stuff if anybody knows what they do,
so i still wana know if anybody knows any low budget mods for the forks:D because the avy cartridge is 300 bucks and the boxxer is 500, which sems a litle costly...
