My boss used some of his budget to buy everyone on his team a year membership to Life Flight. The question now is will I end up using it due to an extreeem mountain bike crash, or from throwing out my back getting off the couch. I need to step up my game either way.

Also, a coworker immediately asked if she could exchange the gift offer for something else. Ungrateful assholes are ungrateful.

It was offered as part of the company's rewards and recognitions program, whatever that means. I think he was just trying to offer something more useful than another stainless steel water bottle or other crappy token with the company logo on it.

I don't know about that.... For some, I suppose. Flights for emergencies (not neccessarily due to poor decisions) were common where i used to live, due to the remote location. I don't even want to know what those bills looks like.
