There are a bunch of people here that support the emergence of a third party. Did anybody actual vote for one? This is the first time I hadn't, seeing how close things are it seemed like a good idea but I still feel dirty.

There were no third party candidates on the ballot in NC that I could tell, otherwise I would have voted that way.

Interestingly I was thinking about how I had voted for 3rd parties candidates previously but in this election I vote strictly along party lines.

It was nice to see Lieberman run on the independent ticket in CT and still win.

He can thank the 75% of Connecticut Republicans who voted for him. I did not. Republicans supported Lieberman far more than their own candidate.
he is gonna be trouble for the dem party in the senate that basically screwed him over. this was their man in 2000 with algore then to totally B-F him in this election is not going to make him wanna helpt them out what so ever.

I voted for Independents in both the house and senate races.

here's the problem, 'liberals' are open-minded, so they'll consider alternatives. 'Conservatives' don't care and will tow the party line.

Liberals see what happens when you support options... the Repubs sweep all levels and branches of govt leading to the world hating US, leading to religious right, leading to an imminent economic collapse.

We don't have the time to support options because if another BushJr.-type admin and congress gets elected for 2008-2015, then bad policy may take us too far down the slope to recover.

It's too dangerous to divide the 'liberal' vote between multiple parties. Seriously.
