Dancin' over rocks n' roots!
Afternoon.
Truck transmission check went well. Grabbed some necessities and am hooking the camper up to take the girls camping. SqEarl will join us later. Girls think it's cool that Mom can do all this without dad too so it's definitely a win for this mamma!

Just watched an email chain with a Managing Director lay into compliance for solidly fucking up approvals of people's securities licenses and accreditations. A bunch of our accreditations were flagged off official usage because certain licensing wasn't there. So all of a sudden, we aren't supposed to do our jobs, because we aren't licensed. A whole bunch of us just stopped working and got managers involved. Since most of these accreditations are self-paid, having them effectively pulled, is pretty bullshit. And having licenses be not supported means we have to retake tests - people leave firma if their registrations are under threat.

Turns out that Compliance misidentifyied the licensing of a bunch of us (derp), which was all actually okay. They then levered that to force us into non-compliant positions regarding our accreditations. There are understandably a bunch of really pissed off people at my level. Licensed advisors are super high demand, so it's easy to walk and find more money, so our MD (like, 4 levels up) lost his shit. Funny show. Intrigued to see what happens to the poor person in Compliance, because they are relatively low-level.

the bad news...... need full hvac system (not surprising). a/c & furnace & blower.

good news. there is a Trane DC less than 20 minutes away and they have the parts/system we need in stock.

the better news: the local company we hired will be doing the work *tomorrow*
