I use all the stroke on most the downhill runs at Big Bear, but it rarely bottoms hard. If I was doing big air I would definately have to up it to a 500 or 550.

How about you tell us the year, that would take one design out of it? There's the travel/leverage for '02 and earlier, and '03 and later. Which does your friend have?

FYI my '02 ran a 650# spring on the Fox RC and me at 230-235#. Got the recommended 20-25% sag.

190lbs me but I'm pretty smooth. I haven't had a harsh bottom yet and I love the feeling of being IN the travel.
