I´m going to buy a DHR but don´t know what spring rate will be the right for me?! The shock is a Fox DHX 5.0.

I´m a bit over 70kg and what to have a race oriented soft setup. I´m not doing big drops or something like that!

Can somebody tell me wich spring rate I should use?

300-350lbs steel spring, soft as posible!.and than play with the walve "botom out"

sag 35% mesure from the midle of rear axel to the seat musst hafe diffrenz from 7-9cm do this setup when you stand in race position on the bike not seatet!!!
importend: the fork must take a balance with the frame, it need in front 5cm sag when te fork has 200mm.

with this setup my DHR hafe never lost the kontakt in any curve, brake, or rock section with the earth!!

At 73 KG (160lbs) I'm running a 450# steel spring on the dhr with a dhx. It feels nice and progressive, but it could be a tad more supple. If you like the softer feel 400# might be good. I can't comment on 300# or 350# though.

I weigh around 155 and run a 400# ti spring on my DHR with a DHX. I usually keep the bottom out adjustment about half-way in, and it has been great so far.

I ride with an 550lbs Ti Spring, but i'm heavy! RS
i have many friends using DHR w/ DHX, i think that a 400lbs for you is going to work great.

I weigh a whopping 240 or so and ran a DXH with Ti 450 spring or 550 steel. It was butter! Never bottomed at whistler off a-line or GLC drop. I forget my air pressures and shock settings, but the DHX is pretty adjutable.

probably wont help too much but!

6ft5 and i run a large which seems right, one of my mates is on a medium and he's 6ft3 so i guess the point is that they come up on the big side.

oh 450lb ti spring and i weigh 200, probably a little soft but i like it

That's a Large frame, the seattower is huge on those.

Concerning your original question, I weigh 160lbs with gear, I am 5"10, I ride a medium frame with 400# spring in the dhx.
The bike fits perfect

This is a medium frame (and mine btw ;))

It's not 5ft01 it's 5ft10 like in 1.79m, Since you are from Germany I think you'll understand this better in metres :D.

I'm from Belgium btw, I spend alot of my summertime riding the German DH tracks:love:

5' 11" , 165# Med DHR DHX5.0 450 Ti spring, 1/2 turn on bottom control, no propedal, 90PSI in the boost valve, rebound to suit the terrain. I would not go lighter than a 400# spring at your weight, you will force the shock to compensate for the low spring rate.
