I have a 07 turner dhr running a 450 DSP Ti spring on a DHX 3 with about 30 -35% sag and about 120 psi .I weight 187 in my gear. Spring rate calculators say im running the right spring rate but its blowing thought the travel easily. My question is should I up the spring rate or get a custom tune or a shock with more knobs???? How are other DHR owner around my weight running there shocks??
Cheers Will

I'm 180 with gear running #450 on dhx 5.0, don't know sag exactly. Set up as follow:
- 130 psi
- 2 preload turns
- 0 propedal (all out)
- 0 bottom out (all out)
- don't remember rebound clicks, change depending on course
The spring rate and set up is spot on for me, I can notice the travel being all used but no harsh bottom out. Maybe you could try #500 and check?

try playing around with the pre-load and/or the PSI

if that doesnt work...depending on your cash flow...get a better shock or send your DHX out to PUSH

on the rocks
Remember u need at least 1.5 turns of preload on the spring. at 160 i'm using a 375 ti spring and will be going to 400 soon as I can locate a good deal.

ok guys the shocks still blowing though the travel very easily, decide to either get the shock custom tuned by a local guy tekin or Pushed . Is the push worth the extra money over a reshim? Kinda leaning to the re-shim only just because its local and they are offering race support and its cheaper ..

Wow, you guys run a lot heavy springs than I do.

I have an 08 DHR.

But I run a 400 or 350 depending on course.
3 click propedal
half way on the bottom out.

I use all the travel but never feel a harsh bottom out. The only time I might is if I have the 350 on and land a flattish landing.

I weigh 90kgs which I believe is around 198 pounds.

I weigh 170 and could not get the DHR to stop blowing through the stroke on silly little stuff or get rid of the mid-stroke harshness. I ran 350, 400, and 450 springs on a variety of different shocks and valving setups. I eventually got frustrated with it and sold it. Just didn't mesh with my style I guess.
