Just finished mounting my brand new Z1 Fr 150mm 2005 fork!

Weight: 2.58kg = approx 5.6lbs
BB height with 6" rockers: 350mm = approx 13.8" (or just below 14" anyways)
A-C: 538mm

Fork feels good and will get it's first ride tomorrow...at night, with lights.

I have new wheel coming up too, Hope Bulb hubs on 823UST rims, can't wait for those!! :-D

Might shoot some tomorrow when I take it for it's first ride after the makeover :-)
My first ever nightride!

Sun goes down at 16:00 right now, so lights are the only option when you work for a living. We'll see if we bother to stop for photos. It's coooold :-(

Until now I have ridden the bike with 5" rockers and a 5" DropOff1.
I have also ridden it with a boxxer and 6" rockers...

but this is how the RFX is supposed to be, I think!

Pretty sharp looking - so you have that RFX at 6" and 6" then correct? Does it feel really well balanced? How does the Romic pair up with the Zoke up front?

I love that green color of your bike!

I'll take more pics today, and post. Will try to take som from the side.

From the commute to work the geo with 6+6 seems to be a tiny bit more slack, but still feels very "at home".
I have no device to measure headangle, and I guess I'm too lazy to do it manually as well :-D No, we'll see.

Tonight is the first ride, weather is supposed to be not-freezing, so studded tires are out.

You guys over in hot-country are SO lucky! Damn snow...and rain, and crap...

Went out for my first ride on the fork.
Wet, muddy, cold, dark with Niteriders.

Fork is just there, it soaked up everything, didn't dive to much, is superstiff. I don't know what to say. the easiest way to describe the ride is that I didn't notice it. It took care of everything. Low drops(2foot) wasn't noticable, weight is so close to the old Z1 DropOff I had so that's not an issue. It seems to be the perfect fit for the RFX. I can't wait to try this baby down dry trails, summer warm with daylight.

I am happy, that's for sure.

Sick fork. I also would like to see the profile shot. Looks like a good match.

I also dig solo night rides. Very scary. I ran into some freak one early 4:30 dawn patrol pre-work. It was 10/31 a full moon and this guy was just standing in the trail. I was like WTF ! I started asking the guy what he is doing in the woods @ this time... W/ my niteriders in his eyes. He was all F'd up. I usually carry a knife for emergencies... So, it gave me a little piece of mind during this. But geeez who expects to see someone on the trail @ 4:30am.

Anyway, you can get a protractor slope/angle type tool for $10 @ local hardware. Its like a compass looking thing w/ a floating needle. For roofing...
