here 'n there
I saw a copy of TwentySix I think it was called at Go-Ride not too long ago and it looked pretty sweet.

I used to like Flow but the reincarnation freaking sucks. I'm all for actual content you can READ that's not plastered with misspellings and poor grammar. Hot naked chicks are great and all but they're not good for much 'quality reading time'. ;)

Anyway, so what are your favorite mags out there right now? Is there another more trail one called Singletrack? Any links people have? Just curious. I'm always a Bike mag fan for the 'soul', and Mountain Bike is just fun for the tech weenie factor but mostly irritating with the whole 'black diamond' thing. Lookin for something new and good...good being great photos, lengthy, well-written stories, and a well-designed mag.

edit: Decline is the other one! good?

Your face.
Not sure, just something a friend told me. I think its cause they were so similar in the first place, and XC stuff is pretty much covered by all the rest of the mags.

Duh. I never understood 26. It was like they wanted to do a big print glossy XC mag, but realized it wouldnt sell without 3/4's of it being fr/dh/urban. They should stick to making decline better, and let 26 die.

Funny;

I'd heard the same, but the source was very sketchy about details.

Makes sense to me, put all your eggs in the Decline basket and let the others slog it out for XC supremacy!

What issue? Where? - The latest issue sucks - more ads than anything, and Mr. Hart, though he seems cool - needs to take some english classes.

I agree with flow being pretty lame to read, it's good to look at for a few minutes but it gets real boring really quick.

And as for 26, I'm not dissappointed to hear of it's demise.

I'm into decline at the moment, good stories, good pics and NO XC stuff. I'll glance through MTB action at the store for the tech stuff, but not much more.

Decline!!!

Decline has way too much street and free-ride **** in it for my taste.
With the folding of 26 I'm really afraid that the H3 mafia may actually forget that racing exists at all... I know, I'm old school, I hate "stunts", hate street, park etc... I even enjoy wearing lycra to race DH, but really lets leave "freestyle" to BMX. I'm fine with kids hitting huge gaps in the backcountry and other redbull influenced side-shows, but really I would sell bodyparts and children to read a large format glossy that covers the north american racing scene in a similar manner to Dirt.
I'm in the minority on this continent apparently, but even after 11 years of MTB racing, I'm not sick of it, and I still want to surround myself with it at every possilble juncture.
