My work day is done and it's 74 degrees and beautiful, my legs are shot so no ride. Plans the the afternoon include paying my taxes, adding service days to my burner phone and mounting new chi chi tires.

You're going to use @MMike to plug the hole? Intriguing. FWIW, I had no luck whatsoever repairing such a hole in a Conti Trail King a couple of years ago...
I sometimes exaggerate... its was 74 but after the thunderstorm who knows? The trails are guaranteed not worth riding for a few days. April is like that.
