Both are from Spain....coincidence...I think not!
75% Garnacha (same as Grenache) & 25% Tempranillo. The ripe red fruit of the Garnacha dominates the front of the palate & the Tempranillo provides support through the middle & finish with its earthiness & spice. Good enough to drink on its own but even better with food.
Oh yeah baby. Who says Old World wines can't be big & brawny? In Europe, the summer of 2003 was so hot, the elderly & infirm were dropping like flies....literally. That explains the ooomph this 100% Tempranillo packs. The epitome of a fantastic steak wine. Not for the faint of heart with its big youthful tannins & bold fruit, so back off sissies.
Both are screaming deals at $6.99 a bottle in the notoriously over priced TN wine market.
