The "Taxation Without Representation" license plate will remain relative for a while:

DC Voting Rights Bill Dead

The long-anticipated D.C. voting rights bill will not be considered on the House floor this week and will likely not be considered for the remainder of this session, Majority Leader Steny Hoyer (D-Md.) said Tuesday morning.

Hoyer announced the news at a weekly meeting with reporters, saying that he is “extraordinarily disappointed” that “every member of Congress is not fighting” to bring the bill to a vote on the floor.

“It is a blight on democracy that we have not done so,” Hoyer said. “That bill should be unfettered by any other provision.” The bill has been plagued by opposition in Congress and from the D.C. Council ever since an amendment was attached to it that would alter the District’s gun laws.
But as a result, 600,000 residents, more than in the entire state of Wyoming, still have no representation in Congress. And if it’s done for the rest of the session, with smaller majorities or a Republican takeover next year you can bet it won’t come up for a long time. Sad.
the Kumar robbery is already being held up as an example in the local media here. If representation is based on gun crime, Philly should have no members of Congress.

As for the license plates, says it pretty well:

All DC registered cars have these, except one.

Where are all the teabag protesters vigorously defending the constitution on this one?
