Just upgraded to the newest stable release yesterday.

Some weirdness w/ the video and sound drivers but noting that was not resolved w/ a little Google/troubleshooting.

Everything looks smoother/better. The fonts are smoother I think too.

I installed Gutsy several weeks ago. Pretty nice. I didn't have even one piece of hardware that wasn't instantly recognized and installed, including my network printer.

I also installed a little effects manager for Compiz so I could fool around with the window settings. I really enjoy the wobbly windows.

If VMWare Player will recognize and run my Vista install with any kind of decent speed, I might stop booting to Vista for a while. I need to have full Windows compatibility but it's fun to mess around with.

Got the damn ancient Dlink wireless card running under ndiswrapper...FINALLY.

I dunno what I did right but it WORKS.
