Looking to buy an ultrabook. Pure horsepower isn't needed, but lightweight and fast access is. M.2 drives, SSD is mandatory. Otherwise, whatever specs are fine- just small, light, and long battery life. I want to keep it under $1000, the lower the better.

    What's good?

I think ultrabooks are overrated. Megabooks, humungobooks, uberbooks, and even bizzarobooks are good if you can get your hands on one.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/IBM_5100, on which I wrote a lot of APL to do worst-case tolerance analysis for fuel gauging circuitry in the space shuttle orbital maneuvering subsystem...
