It's going to be worse than Blackhawk down....and that was pretty bad.
The first time I saw Blackhawk Down I was underwhelmed but I watched it again and found it much more involving. Made me wonder how they ever expected to pull it off.

Nobody tell me the ending, I want it to be a surprise.
Well judging how these movies go, it will likely end with a burly cigar smoking passenger diving out of the plane, and gliding (using a rain coat), over to Afga....I mean IRAQ, and punching into Osama bin Laden's chest, and pulling out his still beating heart........and then, letting out a battle cry, he spikes it into the ground, does an end zone dance. then jumps back into the sky, and glides, (with the same rain coat), back to the US and just as the plane is about the hit the ground, he catches it, and saves everyone on board.

It's alright, the stupid trailer finally downloaded, I know what happens now.

Basically just like Team America but totally serious. Just as I thought.

I was only looking to see if Bruce Willis was in it. Anyway the trailer showed a plane hitting the WTC which we all know puts this movie firmly in the fiction category.

I think it's time the US gets a little reminder of why we're at war with terrorists and their allies.
A "reminder" implies that we received an explanation to begin with.

I assumed he meant the Saudis and the Bush family. If you look at it that way, N8's post is coherent.
I like your thinking; any way of looking at N8's posts to make them seem coherent is worthy of admiration in my book.

It was about time the Political Forum got a little reminder of why nobody listens to N8 and his allies.

regardless of the political implications of such a movie, I think this is tasteless, and you couldn't pay me to see it.
What did you think of the TV series depicting your illegal war in Iraq? Was that OK?

They made movies of somalia, bosnia, the invasion of iraq (twice)...why is it all of a sudden tasteless when Americans are not the perpetrators?

People said Tora Tora Tora was tasteless too...same reasons.

Edit: Forgot the myriad of movies about Nam as well.

Fair point. I don't think it's tasteless necessarily more than pointless. Any 9/11 movie at this point is basically going to be a flag waving exercise. I'm sure some good movies will be made out of the events of that day but judging from the trailer I don't think this will be one.

heh, not gonna argue the merits of the film itself, as it will most likely suck. Just saying, every story has 2 sides.

In my opinion, this will be a lot like titanic: a monumental waste of time that people will blow $8 on, and already know the ending going in.

No doubt, except here I'd be blowing $16. F*cking thieves.
