Well tonight I tackled more that I planned on.
I checked all the other bearings in my M1 for stickeyness or play. None present except the main pivot ones were toast. I did manage to get a bearing set from intense.
I got the old ones out since they were crusted in there. They were also not taken care of so they were hard to get out. Once out, I cleaned everything, greased the holes, and used my $4 brearing press gizmo (4 washers, 1 long big bolt, a nut) and placed the bearings on it, tightened it, and bam, they mounted in very quickly. Lubed everything, tightened it down, removed all suspension nuts, greesed, re-tightened. Everything seems to rock right now. Bearing deal is done!
And my hope hub, it all came apart sooooooooooo easy. I was stoked. I pounded everything out and it is apart and now I am waiting for my TA kit to come. My fat lard butt needs a 12mm anyways
I just wanted to give everyone an update that all went much better than I expected. I am getting good at wrenching on my bike and it is very satisfying knowing I can do it by myself and a little help!
Thanks again guys,
Chris
