Towing the party line.
I always end up getting screwed by ups. Today i am waiting on about $2500 on studio lights to show up. I have to pay taxes so I have to be home to receive it.

Guaranteed 3 day delivery, international. Major cash spent on shipping. Website said delivery today. Thsi morning it is has changed to rescheduled to tomorrow...but the parcel has been sitting at the local sorting center since 6am this morning. The sorting center is 10 mins away and i regularly pick stuff up there.

I call to ask if i can go get it, oh it's on a truck sir! I find this odd, so i call back to another agent, it's not on a truck. Actually, we don't know where it is, so we'll have to have them call you form the sorting center direct.

I have the day with pretty much nothing to do besides a few banner ads, and now i can't play with my new lights.

CURSES UPS.

When the driver shows up, jump on him from the roof, slit his throat, sign the signature pad in his blood, and position his body kneeling behind the neighbor's garden gnome.

He may have some weird UPS driver communicable diseases. besides, I like my UPS driver. He's a cool guy and his kid races Dh with me. And he doesn't bitch when i get 18 bikes shipped to my house for the team every year. I gave him an Xmas tip. :)

I hate UPS and avoid them whenever possible. All my ebay stuff gets shipped USPS.

Last UPS experience for me, I ordered a new keyboard stand. As soon as the shipper said it was coming UPS I knew I was screwed. Sure enough, it shows up, the box is destroyed, parts are missing, etc. I call UPS and they're like "well how do you know it was UPS who damaged it?". Now I'm PISSED. Then I look closer at the box, and the part that was destroyed was where the original shipping label was. The original label was mutilated and UPS printed a new one and stuck it over their half assed tape job. So I called them back and was like get your fat stupid driver over here and I will show him how I know it was UPS that screwed up my stuff. So they finally admitted it was their fault, it still took me another week and a half to get my damn keyboard stand :rant:

Screw UPS.

Just can't forget about me, can you...

Sucks. It's always the important ****. Like I had a fork next-day'd to me, lost. Gets there two days later. Friday means I have the weekend to f with it, Monday means I have to wait 5 days to really enjoy it.

Around here, they just don't learn. They leave packages on the front porch in plain view from the sidewalk even when they contain valuable or dangerous shi+ and you ask them not to. Literally the very next thing I had delivered after a neighbor had valuable optics stolen off her porch, they left it on my front porch after I even volunteered to come pick it up from their distribution center. What did they leave right before school lets out and hours before I get home from work?

Today is the official start of the christmas rush, get over it, I worked for UPS and I can tell you it is hell during the holidays, we would have 50+ packages a day left over in the truck that were going to be late.

When i moved back from colorado i shipped my complete server tower (minus HDDs) back via UPS. I had carrie dit on on the way there, but didn't want to deal with it on the way home. Oh the days of lax airport security.

Anyways, they completely destroyed it. It was dropped from many feet up int he air. A steel server tower was buckled in at the corner by a good 6 inches and then the rest of the case was knocked out of square. The vid card, sound card etc all had issues, the mobo would over heat etc. UPS refused to do anything until i threatened them with a lawyer and a letter from a computer shop stating what was busted and that it would only have happend from mishandling.

They eventually shelled out $2800usd, it took about 3 months.

I don't really give a crasp what it is. I pay for a service, I expect it. If they can't deliver, DO NOT OFFER the service.

Their entire reason for being is to ship packages. If they can't get that right, they shouldn't be in business. They are an abysmal joke of a company. If you don't like being rushed duroing the holiday season, don't work there. It is as simple as that.

99% of their employees are incompetent and lazy, their tracking system is horrid and their customer service is despicable.

They gave me that sh!t when they ripped the label off of one of my packages. I called and gave them extreme hell.

Hmm, I hadn't considered that route. At this point I am not driving over to the distribution center out of principle. Roads will be jammed over that way. This morning at 10am when i offerred to go, i was told not to worry.

edit: further proof UPS is a bunch of lyings assbags - no delivery attempt notice anywhere on my front or side door, or in mailbox. Nice try, jerkoffs.

HAHAHA...no. I know enough about the japanese sword not to be volunteering for tameshgiri without using Google. Good buddy of mine just started iaido and wants me to go with him. I'd love to as I have always wanted to learn and I already have decent MA base. But there's only so many hours in the week for 2 karate classes, family stuff, bikeys.....

Oh yeah. UPS sucks.
