Guys:

according to this site there will be an urban dh race with many international top-racers like Minaar, Gracia, Polk etc. on sunday:

In the article it seems that a brazilian tv-station is broadcasting live footage from the event. Apparently it's this station: http://globoesporte.globo.com/programas/esporte-espetacular/

But I'm not sure if there's a main station (globo) where it will be broadcasted or the sub-station globo esporte espectacular.

I found a stream but idk if it's the right one: http://www.livestream.com/globo_tv

Does somebody speak portugese or knows how I can get a livestream?

This is footage from last year, pretty cool imho:

Over your shoulder whispering
Oooooh, I pulled a bunch of strings one time and almost made it. Only way to get my necessary VISA was to land in Miami, take a cab to the consulate and get a last minute one and be on a plane that afternoon.

These urban dh's seem to be really nasty injury-wise. Too bad there's no coverage whatsoever. Come on guys it's the first race with WC riders in 2012.

We just need one brazilian guy who streams via justin.tv.

He's the only wc rider who seems to attend almost all urban races. The routine seems to pay off. I don't know what time Minaar had in the finals but in quali he was 10. (maybe the neckbrace didn't help) but I think you have to get your head around the unusual conditions.

That Polc video is from last year I'm sure. If not then there was a very similar video of the race up last year!

Just got home from Brazil this morning from the event. Super fun times, the course was SCARY fast and even guys like Minaar and Cedric were sketched on some of the stair gaps that were 'necessary' to get on the podium.

Yes, Minaar was required to wear a neck brace (as was everyone else). Pretty nuts not to wear one, major consequences if you went down anywhere on course!

Video should be online in about 5 days so I'll make sure to post again once its live!

I did awesome..........cause I was filming :) I can't speak for Minnaar but I'd say maybe holding back some. I'm pretty sure if I raced it would take me 2 minutes to complete that course in the time it took Polc 58s.

I would have loved to see the time that Marcelo Gutierrez would have put down if he didnt get a flat in finals, I'm pretty sure it would have been a super tight race between him and Polc.
