My girlfriend bought a used giant AC a while back. The tires were pretty worn, so we ordered some new michelin comp 16's to preplace them. When we pulled the old tires off we discovered that the previous owner was running tubes in the D3.1 wheelset. We'd like to go back to running tubeless. I don't know much about how the UST setup works, but I assume I need some sort of special valve stem in the rim? Are there any other bits and pieces that I might need for the setup? And where can I purchase whatever parts I do need to get?

Thanks,
M

Is there something wrong with the ones that are already on there?
The bike was running tubes. I need the valve stems used to run tubeless.

DVNT: I saw those when I did a google search. I wasn't sure if they were the same thing or not. Thanks for the help.

In a pinch I was able to cut off the stem from an old tube and use it in a set of crossmax rims. I just glued it into place with rubber cement from a tube patch kit. Took me two tries to get it cut to a shape that worked though.

in my experience stans and mavic stems are different unless stans have been redesigned. The mavics have a groove the stem has to fit in...
