Where to go....

I've got two days off next September, 9th & 10th. The first time I've had two consecutive days off in months. I want to go on a bike trip. I can probably get discounted airfare anywhere Delta flies out of Boston, maybe Northwest/KLM too. Vancouver is too long of a flight for a short vacation. My mountain bike is in need of serious TLC too, as I've been neglecting its maintenance for awhile in favor of riding the new road bike. Maybe Plattekill, because I can rent something that's in better shape than my bike.
I can probably go to North Carolina for about $40. I'd really like to take the road bike to some mountains. Boston is too damn flat. Hmm, Mount Washington.

I am leaving for NC tomorrow at Lunch time! The Asheville area is great for both Road and MTbiking. There are a few shops that rent some decent stuff. Last time I was there, there was a rental Heckler in front of Sycamore Cycles. (its right between Pisgah ranger district and Dupont)

College was a breeze. Plenty of free time, maybe 5 hours of class a day tops, and usually 4 days a week. I work about 60 hours a week, sometimes less, sometimes more. It was about 75 hours last summer, so I guess this is an improvement. I still ponder what its like to only do 40.
