gonna be interesting for sure, with so many new national champion races happening over the last few weeks.

for the men, i'm between Bruni and Pierron still.

For the women, Hannah and a good recovery for Rachel.

Troy brosnan with a standard third, and hart battles for 5th or sixth. You can pretty much hang your hat on those results...
d'oh! I forgot about Troy! Yeah, he'll be up there for sure.

I think Vergier has a win in him this year, he just needs to figure out how to uncork it. soon.

I'll go out on a limb here and predict a French winner.
Likely Pierron, He's won here before and that high pivot was made for a track like Val Di Sole

You are forgetting one most important thing. Jean boy is Italian. Does that mean he will ride faster since home crowd or slower since it will mean he has more time to go back to work?

he will stop for pasta and some vino at the 3rd split.

i definitely think he will try and make a good showing for the home crowd. after his performances this year, hopefully it's his last season as a privateer.

Well, South Tyrol is a little special in that regard. We are Italian citizens but culturally very near to Austria and Germany. Dude works in Munich, Germany in a restaurant. It's a long story.
Either way, it's rad to see him and Veronika Wiedmann being successful this year! :headbang:

by itself or will it be following its big brother down the track?
I think it will be by following his twin brother (Brosnan) or his big brother (Bruni).
On the other hand, Amaury has the momentum, won last year and has the bike with probably the best monstertrucking in the biz.

I thought he also worked in South Tirol which is why it seemed super strange to me when he rushed from Leogang. Munich is closer so it makes more sense.

It's not that far in both directions. In about 2,5hrs you are either in Bolzano or in Munich I'd say.
I always thought Munich is like 1.5 hour max from Leogang but I haven't been in the area for a few years despite my mother relocating to a house somewhere between Munich and Salzburg

Watched the Cathro and Wyn track walks. Fuck that track never fails to be amazing. I'd argue (badly) that its the best DH track we've ever had.

That aside, Cannondale grabbing Kenta as a fill in rider is great to see. Would be awesome if all the teams grabbed a privateer when a pro was injured.

I agree. It is my favorite to watch every year. Ha, the only time I did not enjoy it was when they hosted World's when it was so dry and loose and all the random dudes from non DH countries were rag dolling down the course.
