Nothing. When the top riders are mostly going faster by reasonably substantial margins, and Gwin - arguably the most consistent rider for the past 2 years - goes backwards, relatively speaking, what do you make of that?
Nothing.
Everyone knows that it's all about the rider, and given 10 riders separated by mere seconds, frame kinematics make zero difference to times or performance. They all have pivots, they all have suspension, and they all even have handlebars attached to them. Only a fool would think these bikes are anything but identical.
Dude, chill.I seriously need an IQ test prerequisite before people read my posts.
Welcome to ridemonkey jason. You live far away so do me a favor and slap the shlt out of yourself because I certainly can't at the moment.
If I had that skidmark asking me the same damn questions over and over again with lots of negative connotations and implications attached to each question, I would have kicked him square in the pu$$y long before that interview was over.Maybe on a personal level it's annoying as fvck to have Steve Jones grilling you about how things are going and what your setups are at the moment you're trying to figure out what is going on yourself.
Clearly they're Scottish. Bahahah. Oh I kill me.No scott is definitely an american name. I know one just down the street. There's no question scott is definitely an american company based in socal. I can just tell.
Glad the sarcasm came through. Can't tell if serious because talking to friend who tunes suspension
We all know nokian marzocchi tire is the best so that discusion can end. I think they only reason Gwin isn't dominating is that Spesh didn't hire feng shui experts and their team tent is leaking energy. For such a smart brand they should know better and not put mirrors opposite of doors. UnprofessionalCan't tell if serious because talking to friend who tunes suspension
Let's make it about tires.
It's all tires bro.
Bontrager tires are where it's at. And now sometimes continental.
well said!!If I had that skidmark asking me the same damn questions over and over again with lots of negative connotations and implications attached to each question, I would have kicked him square in the pu$$y long before that interview was over.
But bragging about bike-kinematics is overexaggerating one single variable when there are tons of other more significant ones. Like you can overcome bad kinematiks with a good shock but you can't get full potential out of your kinematiks with a bad one. I agree on the choices but I take that as set. Riders do this to get comfortable on their bikes and there always can be mistakes or irregularities in communication between them and sponsors and/or mechanics (remember Brook and the mondraker-foward-geometry episode)Glad the sarcasm came through.
Seriously, when it's down to 10 very consistent riders with margins this tight, everything matters - anyone who thinks otherwise fails to realise that just because there are choices, doesn't mean everyone is making the right ones.
Scott is Swiss

'All about the rider' is also proven by privateers being on pace with pros with full team-support: http://www.pinkbike.com/news/Live-from-the-Favelas-of-Val-di-Sole-2013.htmlBut bragging about bike-kinematics is overexaggerating one single variable when there are tons of other more significant ones. Who's bragging? Just saying it is indeed a factor, you're the only person here that consistently disagrees. You can't overcome bad kinematics with a good shock - all you can do is compensate, never the best solution. Assuming like for like (as you say), a bike with better kinematics will be better than a lesser one. I don't see why you struggle with this concept so much, perhaps it is because you haven't seen the significant differences in current frames - while many are similar, there are also significant differences between some of the top 10 riders' frames. But bragging about bike-kinematics is overexaggerating one single variable when there are tons of other more significant ones. I love how hardcore the internet has lately become. Answering to interviews is Gwin's job. (yeah they pay him for more than racing). Also people are curious sowhy are people surprised he gets asked such questions. Also why there was no such outrage when similar questions were asked to non US riders. If I had that skidmark asking me the same damn questions over and over again with lots of negative connotations and implications attached to each question, I would have kicked him square in the pu$$y long before that interview was over.
It's better than that, basically Jones asked him all the questions in this thread and now folk are outraged! Oh the ironing....I love how hardcore the internet has lately become.
