Hi,

I am 5'7 hight and weight only 110 lbs and riding a Gemini DH with 6 ways rear shock (250 lbs spring rate, 50 psi SPV) but still feeling it's too stiff and not enough sag for me. I know that 250 lbs spring is lowest rate, can I replace a non SPV shock like Romic or custom made a spring for getting proper sag, thanks for help!

i know ive seen a 225 lbs spring on a gemini, look for it.

i also know there are springs for dh wheelchairs of under 200lbs, maybe call romic about it.

You should be able to get something custom wound, check your yellow pages or online. There are a lot of engineering companies and manafacturing companies that custom make springs for whatever application. also....start suckin down those protein shakes and hitting the gym! ;) :blah:

I would call Romic if you're not into the custom-wound spring option. Someone told me they weren't doing custom valving anymore but they might be able to help you out anyway with a custom tuned shock.

Have you considered switching to an air shock? This is strictly speculation, but I figure you have a little more tunability without a spring as well as being less sprung. I check the docs and the shock length is 200mm by 50mm, which they make a swinger air.

You lose the reliablity of a spring and the high and low speed tuning, but if cannot ride this bike as is, it might be your solution.
