I'm curious, how did you guys fund your gate set up? Did someone in the community make it for you guys or did you have to purchase it yourselves? Does it use the NBL/UCI cadence or is it just a rope drop similar to uber DYI slalom set ups?

I'm not one of the organizers so I don't have the full story but I'll try to answer.

The races was set up by a local racing team, http://stoneracing.wordpress.com/. It's a pretty low overhead opperation so everything is funded off of the $20 entry fees.

The gate is an electronically activated latch with a human countdown. Don't know where the gate came from. As a side note when it is loaded it sometimes takes an extra second to drop which caused one spectacular otb when someone tried to slingshot it.

That looks like a nice piece of land. CAn you build DH trails or tracks on there too?

Easter weekend, Mother's day?? Those are two times I have to give in to my wife in order to make those trips to Dville, Nstar, Ashland, Whistler this year (??). As much as I want to I just can't.

THey should have a Father's day extravaganza with races Sat and Sun and I'll be there for all of them.
