In person, it was heartbreaking to hear the announcer say he was winning at the split, and next thing we see is Peat picking himself up after sliding off that wooden kicker.
It looked like a tough section to pre-jump, and I guess he was cruising a lot faster than his practice and seeding runs... and misjudged the distance needed to land on the tranny.
I still love the fact that the old man was just killing the young crazy kids on that course. Until he crashed that it. Still on the knarly rocky stuff he was a step above.
And by the way, no amateur video dudes could have gotten close enough to film it, due to the excessive taping on that section. Hopefully we will see some pro still photos of it
