We rode that back in 2010. I only did the Dead Dog section once and did the ride around the rest of the day. That's a proper frightening section of trail - the footage doesn't really convey the lack of grip and uncontrollable acceleration that happens once you drop in.
Exactly! Stevie Smith on a Cove Shocker. A friend had that bike in 2006, I never got warm with it, didn't work for me. I had the first Maestro Glory back then and the Cove felt more like a freeride bike to me.
How does that freecoaster hub hold up to the abuse?
No idea, I’ll ask. Antoine is hard on bikes though.
