Vietnam Trail Care Day , June 11 ( Milford, Mass)

Nam I am
The second Vietnam trail care day is scheduled for Saturday, June 11th. The day will be spent building a new trail on the NEMBA parcel. NEMBA has been working over the last 2 months on the creation of this trail.

We have been working closely with the trail designer of Rayburn trails and local freeriders to create a flowing trail that uses the unique geographic features of the area while maintaining the "Nam" character. The trail includes a number of rock gardens, chutes and natural drops. The new trail starts near the top of the cell tower access trail.

We need folks to rake, benchcut, cut back trees, etc., and we'll be doing a lot of rock work. We also need folks to shuttle people from the parking area to the work area and to make a food run. We have the southeastern MA NEMBA tool trailer coming, so we'll have plenty of tools.

Work is expected to go from 9:30am until 3:00pm (but you don't have to stay all day), or sooner if we wrap up early. Meet at the Plains Park parking lot in Milford. Plains Park is less than a mile south of route 495 on route 85. A shuttle will run from 9:30am to 10:00am from Plains Park to the work area.

It is recommended to wear work clothes, gloves, eye protection, and boots. Lunch will be provided.
