I recently screwed up the damping rod on my Z2 Bomber. I tried to get a new hydraulic cartridge from Marzocchi, but it's a 97 Bomber and they don't make them anymore. Frankly I kind of like my old Bomber and I don't see the use of getting one of their newer forks. I see Z2 Bombers for sale on ebay and I was wondering if I could patch a new one together with parts from the 98 and my old 97. For instance, my old steerer has a good 8" andshould fit any 30mm stanchions - so could I use the lowers from a 98 Z2 with the steerer from a 97? Also, does anyone know if the stiff springs from a 97 Z2 would fit a 98 Z2?

Many thanks

as long as the stanchions on the '97 and the '98 are the same size, then you can use the '97 steerer tube on hte '98 lowers. dont know much about 'zokes so i cant really help you with the springs.

edit: im assuming the crown on your '97 and the crown on the '98 have bolt on stanchions? not the cryofit ones?
