I'm looking for some drivers, specifically for my Adaptec 2940UW card for my SCSI DVD-Rom. I'm running Vista64, and can't seem to find a driver for such an old device.

Hey BV, got any links? Also, how on earth do yo stop the nag screens from popping up for access to things like network settings?

The nag screens are set in the user preferences.

I haven't seen much in the way of hacked driver support, contact the manufacturer. I don't think you'll find much, though. You could try a generic driver but... a SCSI DVD-ROM? Seriously? Seems like more hassle than the $30 replacement is worth ;)

The SCSI DVD-Rom reads a WHOLE lot more acturately than the IDE (NEC 3550A, not a low end DVD+-RW by any stretch) ones. I slap in a really scratched disc and the SCSI can generally pull the data off, whereas the IDE will just chokes and pukes. Well, went back to XP Pro 32 on that machine again. I'll give it a go on the HTPC machine (w/o the SCSI DVD-Rom). It's a simpler box in terms of hardware...hope my TV tuner card gets picked up...?
