Holy greenbacks batman, that's a lot of dough for a pedal that looks like it could crack if you tagged it on a rock.[/url]
I saw them at Interbike and Sea Otter...with a cast stainless steel body they appear to be pretty damn solid, but on the downside they are also pretty heavy.

wow, i didn't realize syncros came back to life so suddenly. they've got a pretty extensive product line. i always liked their stuff back in the day...had plenty of stems and posts of theirs, and a bb or so. funny that they don't make bbs now.

so did they just start from scratch again or did they witdraw from the market so they could release a bunch of new products all at once? I don't remember seeing anything but old stock syncros stuff for the last couple years.

I'll bet a stainless steel (they also have a chromoly steel pedal for $110) would be stronger than aluminum but it looks like they may have gone a little too far cutting away material to save weight. From the pictures it looks like they're made of toothpicks.

how about close to $200 for a pair? I have the first generation of those (MX-100) and let me tell you...they are probably the strongest pair of flat pedals on the market...BUT they are like 2lbs a pair!!! :dead:
Yeah, I don't want to sheer off my BB/Cranks in the process :D

Tom Ritchey bought back the Syncros TM from GT. I think he got some of the old people too. Guess he got financial power to make a new good Syncros line.

They look kinda cool, but it's beyond me why anyone would shell out the cash for a "MTB pedal" when there are tons of cheap "BMX pedals" out there that are just as good or better, and generally cost about half the price...

Are the Syncros only made in steel? I really need a pair of pedals but I want something light and good in mud. Where can you buy these?

Mag, Stainless, and Cromoly. No ti!

I haven't seen any pics of the mag version but i would assume it's bit thicker, the designer isn't an idiot.
