I'm running a single ring and want to know the best spec for the Dual ring set up with a guide. Are you using an E-Type front derailleur? Evil E-13 DRS? What size rings, small and middle, are working best. Any swingarm clearance issues with the front derailleur? Any info appreciated.

My setup is the following:

Race Face north shore ISIS cranks
Race Face signature DH bottom bracket 128mm
standard Evil DRS
36/24 ring combo
standard bolt on XT front derailleur

No issues with the swingarm, perfect chainline, roller on DRS tucked all the way up to chainstay.

Thanks, interesting, I was told that an E-Type derailleur was required.

I'm running the e13 drs with a holzfeller double, 128 bb and an e-type front deraileur. Works great. But no, you don't need an e-type deraileur, and I'd say use a regular one. Since there are no iscg tabs, the guide will tend to rotate when it gets smacked, which is not that big a deal, but if you run the e-type it also moves and that's not good. Depending on the guide you might need to remove some material to make it fit with a regular deraileur but that's pretty common.

OK, I ran this rig with a triple, E-Type, "custom" Santacruz bb, custom Santacruz E-Type seattube mount thing, and had major issues with rear triangle clearance for the derailleur. I removed the limit screws on the derailleur and it worked (just got lucky). It sounds like this is not an issue anymore (I received one of the first few frames). BTW, what size frame do you have.
