How does everyone else feel about overhauling their VP-Free? Or am I just the lucky one that hated the experience because I had to innovate and create my very own bearing press tool, deal with a cracked bearing and deal with mysterious resistance with new bearings (once pressed in)?
I think I have discovered the reason why people ride single pivots? I miss my Bullit already (even though it's right next to me).

I just did the first over haul on my free. With a bike shop full of tools I found working with the bearings to be difficult, which is why I'm selling it and buying a morewood. (check out their pivot design and you see why I choose morewood) The lip that the bearings back up against seemed to weak. I just don't want to spend that much time working on a frame that will never stop creaking.

In my house we have two Blurs, a VP Free and a Nomad. I have changed out bearings in the Blurs and Free more than once with the Santa Cruz tools and never had any problem except when I pushed the upper swing arm bearings out the wrong side because my eyesight is getting crappy and i couldn't see well enough. But generaly i fing it pretty damn easy.
