I lost one of the springs to the pawls while I was taking apart my rear deemax hub.. after pulling out my hair and driving from shop to shop for 2 hours, I went home, looked one more time, and there it was. Sorry, I'm so happy that I just have to share to the entire world.

I guess Brian would like to hear too anyway :p I think I'm gonna take the wheel to a mechanic dude. I'm through with this! Btw I also lost one of my blue adjustor knobs.. I guess I didn't tighten it enough. I was afraid of stripping the thing. Must have fallen off when the bike was on my roof :mumble:

I bought my GF a beach cruiser at our local bike swap meet...took it home to service it, and ended up taking out the headset cups. When I knocked them out, they shot off into my darkened, messy, and cramped garage...spent about an hour and a half trying to find them (once I realized the headset I'd intended on putting in was a 1" threaded instead of the 1 1/8 threaded I needed...)

Then I dropped some ball bearings while servicing the hubs. Found a bunch of them using my headlamp, but now there are only 9 per side instead of 10...I don't think she'll notice... :p

How's it goin dude? Haven't heard from you in forever
yeah, i'm retardedly busy these days so i try not to lounge in front of the computer too much. my days are consumed with school, working at my schools bike co-op (where i get to fix every crappy, smelly, left out in the rain since 1973 bike), a new girlfriend, and ample beer consumption. but all in all, life's been pretty good and i can't complain. i like keeping busy. this summer was like a fantasy, doing nothing but taking a couple classes, riding, and travelling. i'd like to see more of norcal next time i make it out there. i'm thinking about spending next summer in Breckinridge, CO, so maybe i'll get to take a trip back to Cali.

i got a dh bike like a month ago, although i don't have much time to ride during the semester. got a sweet deal on BurlyShirley's Eliminator. we have thursday off, so we're gonna go dh'ing at some new trails. i saw those pics of your new rig, looks bitchin! the riding pics you posted recently were sweet too. props on hitting that big drop man. i should bring a camera with us on thursday and snap some pics; these trails are supposed to be super technical and fast.

what are these allegations of you coming east this winter? better bring yer snowpants!

i used to have a DS1 before i got my 243. coulda had a threesome! i know, i feel like such a dork for it. i got a 29'er in the works right now that should be built up by spring. just need to choose a frame and fork. already have wheels and all the other parts

Mass is literally cool. it hit 15 degrees last night and i saw some snow flurries coming down monday night. if we get enough snow this winter my roomate and i are planning to build a rhthm set of snow jumps in our backyard.

girlfriends are cool. mine's super cute (although i guess no one ever considered their girlfriend ugly). it's pretty awesome to have someone who'll make you dinner and get regular nookie! :thumb:. and when we went out to breakfast on sunday, she picked up the tab.
